Focus Areas help guide where financial incentives should be directed to best support local planning goals. These include Main Street Corridors (historic commercial areas), Settlement Areas (built‑up areas expected to grow), Agricultural Areas (lands supporting farming and agritourism), and Employment Lands (industrial and job‑creating districts). There is also a Tourism Corridor Overlay along key routes to support tourism development.
