Garbage and recycling are collected on alternating weeks. View the 2023 Garbage and Recycling Collection Calendar to see what the collection schedule is. You can pick up a paper copy of the collection schedule and route map at the Township office. We are located at 35663 Fingal Line in Fingal.

Please have your garbage or recycling out at the road by 7:00 AM on the designated day. Maximum weight per bag is 44 lbs, maximum bag size is 125 litres or 28 gallons.

Hazardous waste collection

We do not accept hazardous waste through the municipal curbside collection. The Township of Southwold partners with the St. Thomas Community Recycling Centre. Residents of the Township are able to take waste materials to this facility that are not permitted to be put out for curbside collection.
